Count The Versions of You
The first layer of this painting is a blue monarch butterfly. I painted it during a time I was struggling with a feeling of stuck, alone and desperate to change myself. I wanted to break free, to morph and transform but I was too consumed with keeping score of a relationship that ultimately wasn’t serving me. I began reflecting on all the moments where I was facing with a life-altering decision and in each phase of my life, I was terrified to make a change, but ultimately the change led to even more beautiful circumstances. We shouldn’t expect to stay the same, so cheers to embracing all the versions of you.
